Writer/Producer/Director

Marianne Dolan began making experimental films while she was a programmer for the New American Cinemateque in Dallas. In 1971, she joined the Directors Guild of Canada and directed news features and educational segments for worldwide syndication and continued to make experimental films. “Damages,” her portrait of life on a Robert Altman movie was featured in a showcase of experimental films at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival. Since moving to Sausalito in 1987, Ms. Dolan has edited documentaries, one of which was nominated for an Emmy, and directed two syndicated environmental series. She has been living in co-ops on the Sausalito waterfront since 1990.
